There’s a certain magic, an alchemy, that happens in the serving of Tea.
When you light a charcoal fire, carry and boil spring water, steep fragrant leaves that have been hand gathered from ancient trees, light incense and curate a space for all things to be open and flow.
In the sharing of the bowls; one, two, three; in silence.
To me, Tea and the serving of Tea is a reminder of our first and deepest connection - to nature, to this planet, to the universe - and, of course, to one another.
It is a rich, potent medicine.
The Queen (or King) of all plant medicines, according to ancient tradition and writings.
It brightens the eyes, lights the way, and guides us home, if only we arrive ready to listen.
And, dear ones, I am happy to say that I’m here to listen.
